The Validation Actions of the ID-GAMING Project were done in June and July 2022 and involved 121 persons with intellectual disabilities and their supports (relatives and professionals) in 4 different countries (Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain).

The Validation Actions were developed to:

  • Evaluate the quality of the intellectual outputs;
  • Evaluate the impact in the competences of persons with intellectual disabilities, relatives and professionals;
  • Collect feedback in order to introduce potential improvements.

The participants evaluated the QoolCITY board game, the QoolCITY online game and the ID GAMING online platform (training materials repository and serious games catalogue).

The opinions were very positive, as more than 90% of participants say that QoolCITY Game is playable, fun, educational, accessible, usable and generates impact in their cognitive functions and quality of life.

The main objective of the ID-GAMING Project was therefore achieved as the Validation Actions proved that the QoolCITY Game contributes to the increase of competences of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and related Professionals and Relatives in the implementation of ICT Serious Games for improving cognitive functions, and therefore, their quality of life.
