The 4th Transnational Project Meeting of the ID-GAMING Project was held on 29 and 30/03/2022 in Aristotle University’s Research Dissemination Center (KEDEA) in Thessaloniki (Greece).
The hosts from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) gave a very warm welcome to the participants and prepared a guided tour of their facilities.
In this meeting, the partners from the different countries (Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain) reviewed the current design of the Quality of Life Training Game and defined a new name for it: “Qool City”.
The partners presented and analyzed the results of the tests that were carried out with the end users of the game (people with intellectual disabilities, professionals working with them and family members).
All partners were unanimous in reporting that users were very enthusiastic about the game and that there was a very interesting impact on the development of skills related to Quality of Life and Cognitive Functions.
The next part of the meeting consisted of the Training of Trainers, which involved 3 phases:
– Training Toolkit;
– “Qool City” Board Game as a training tool;
– E-Training Tool.
In the first phase (Training Toolkit), the partners addressed the Methodological Guidelines, the training materials already developed and the ICT Serious Games Catalogue.
In the second phase, the partners explored the use of the “Qool City” Board Game as a training tool.
In the third phase, the partners got to know the E-Training Tool that includes the “Qool City” Online Game, instructions for printing and using the “Qool City” Board Game and the materials of the Training Toolkit.
The partners also planned the next steps of the Project:
– Translation of all materials to Greek, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish;
– Organization of validation sessions of the various intellectual products developed.
The next Transnational Project Meeting is scheduled to take place in Portugal, in October 2022.
